Enola Manufacturering chose their site in the Tommy R. McDonald park, in Chipley, Florida, primarily because of its having a foreign trade zone designation. This designation, that the Washington County Chambers’ economic development arm obtained in early 2010, Enola Manufacturing to overcome some duties and tariffs that would otherwise have to be paid. This benefit allows Enola Manufacturing to have a fairer playing field when dealing with global competition.
